  I don’t get the hate.

  Such a solid grounded MCU film that feels very reminiscent of the action and plot of something like The Winter Soldier.

  All the action was awesome and the plot kept me genuinely interested throughout the entire film.

  And Harrison Ford goes crazy as Ross (literally).

  Barry Jenkins excels in expressing intimacy through mise en scène. To me this is almost the blueprints of what would come to be Moonlight.

  The close-up shots are great at capturing the small nuances of their romantic connection.

  Who was this made for?!

  This contains absolutely zero substance as a film. Any moments of emotion or character development are made redundant by ridiculously out of place musical numbers.

  To even refer to this as a "musical" is an insult to the genre. There isn't one song that is even close to enjoyable or catchy.

  Felt like a chore to watch made only worse by performances and characters that were about as interesting as watching paint dry.
