Paths of Glory 1957
While I think the “overdramatized” plot displays the point of anti-war very well and enjoyably, the lack of character depth leaves the film and its climaxes a little underwhelming imo. The soundtrack is fitting but basic, which is what you’d expect from a war film (especially from this time period). Unsurprisingly, Kubrick excelled at capturing the hauntingly ugly experience that war is.
