Chinese animation is weak..? NOT anymore!!

I watched Ne Zha 2 reluctantly because I don’t find this IP to be a must watch theatrical experience at first just from the 1st one. But damn!

This is literally the most epic animated movie I have ever seen in my life, and I have watched most of the famous animations IP in the world. No joke, the epic scale, the enormity of it, when people said gods are fighting, I think no movie has…

A breathtaking titanic masterpiece in the best cinematic way. This short is an animator’s epic wet dream, the audio and visual marriage reaches to a point of religious experience. The atmosphere and intensity is straight out from the depths of human psyche.

I’m already a huge fan of Syama Pederson’s work on YouTube, though I will never know how deep is his involvement in this, the short does have his fingerprints everywhere. Every frame is just immaculately made with the highest symphonic quality.

I finally rated another 5 stars. Hell yeah baby!! Pretty much perfection!

World class psychological screenwriting and acting.

The one take wonder is a bit more of a gimmick to me, sometimes it is very immersive but sometimes it is just one take for the sake of one take, and it does shake a lot like someone is behind the camera, disrupting the suspension of disbelief, so technically it’s not as perfect as 1917.

In terms of story and gutpunch, it elevates above the normal crime stories, focusing more on the character’s…

    My 1200th review~ let’s go!!

Timmy disappears into the role. He is the next rolling stone.

A Complete Unknown is swift and good. Everything is very neat and well put together. The textured cinematography, the breathing smoke of New York, and the restrained direction helps make this picture very easy to digest and get behind.

At the same time the picture is also quite tame and simple. It is a like a good read on a Sunday afternoon, nothing too crazy, nothing truly like a complete unknown.

    Verdict: 79

Watch it for Han Hyo-joo… and I actually dig the 1st one. Imagine the disappointment.

This movie proves the point of casting and directing. Ryu Jun-yeol’s absence of playing Rak in exchange of Oh Seung-hoon stepping in is a major disappointment. Every bit of intrigue and suave of the character is gone.

Han Hyo-joo looks cool when she rips her shirt off but that’s it. Her character is sort off this shallow wide-eyed crazy bitxh and even with her charm…

With a movie experience like this I wonder if this is what people felt like after watching the first Lord of the Rings back in 2001 and Star Wars back in 1977. This movie is this generation's gigantic magnum opus.

Dune Part I is honestly, quite literally the beginning, but if I could get past that, which won’t be easy, I think I could easily say that this is the movie that will push cinema forward.

    Every so often there…
