  Malaysian cinema is undergoing a renaissance but not all films are treated the same. which ironically resonates with some of the themes of the film: The injustices of religious morality, and the hypocrisy society must fabricate under a patriarchal ethnostate.
  This film has everything, composition, soundtrack, cinematography, Sofia, one of the tightest script I’ve seen in a while in Malaysian film, which manage to hold in balance such a colossal theme.
