I love how as a romanian i can relate to the kazakh experience of corruption and systemic opression by the state. I'm sure Romania hasn't been on the same level of poverty as post-soviet Kazakhstan in a long time, definetly not during my lifetime, but the general lack of trust and outright hostility and violence of the state against its vulnerable people rings very familliar.
