The Wailing 2016
A film that pulls you in right at the start and keeps you on your heels for its entire duration. Its a juxtaposition of beautiful landscape, a caring and hard working protagonist and demonically inspired events occurring frequently throughout the plot.

Quite frankly, I usually struggle to fully understand the underlying message in David Lynch's films, which one might argue is the whole point of Lynch's style. However, in this early piece, one is offered a fairly straight forward plot, whilst predominantly the cut scenes have more of a 'Lynch-esque' feel to them. Most strikingly John's dream delivers what Lynch has been so known for.
