TLDR: Some of Depp’s best hair acting I’ve seen

Dripping with intrigue, this film begs the heavy question “What if the DaVinci code wasn’t prone to making you fall asleep.” With a tight cast and great direction for scenes of suspense, it’d be hard to doze off to.

The cast is all doing great but sadly through some sections, they all tend to talk the same way; with the same cadence, wry humour, and the like. This comes across as…

TLDR: How come nobody told me this was really good??

Quirky, small scale, and beautiful; Fargo encapsulates a very wholesome message about the small town folks in contrast to the overly complex city folk and where they meet in the middle.

Everyone captures such a charm unique to their characters (shoutout the costume designers too) and just fucking run with it in a way that wraps you into this world like a warm blanket.

They also had some moments to slide in some genuine humour and levity, both actors and background extras alike.

    The story was…

TLDR: saw this for the first time in theatres and fuck

It’s a very intense feature. The cinematography, makeup, droning sound design, and incredible acting puts you right into this painful trek the lead goes through starting as such a naive child.

Nothing is held back in this film and it all leaves you feeling raw and unnerved, as intended.
What occurs is never glorified nor exaggerated, instead feels cold and matter of fact; say the few moments of levity…
