The Wild Robot 2024
Thought the opening was strong but fell pretty hard in the middle. It felt like Roz overcame her flaw very early and the conflicts of the animals (we all wanna kill each other!!!!!) was not interesting enough to keep me invested to the inevitable (now we wanna support each other!!!!!)- and it felt like the mother son arc between Roz and Brightbill was a little unfocused and all over the place. Pacing also a little offbeat.
But still pretty enjoyable and a few laughs and cool animation!
Maybe watching Up yesterday didn’t help…
