Political movies are a rare variety for today's Bollywood. But there was a time when these movies were made.
Aghaat truly embraces the socio-political language that defines India in the mid 80s. We see in the movie, workers who are distributed among two unions, one good one evil, but the line between them starts to blur as we progress. The film's nuanced impression of the working class feels fairly realistic, but it forgets to give them a dream.

Everything was dark in this movie. The start, the story, the ending. So much was told without speaking, and so much was left out so that you can make it up yourself. A masterpiece in recent times.
