  great film :)

  i loved everything. watching Emilia Perez felt like eating a gorgeous everything bagel with fluffy eggs, sundried tomatoes, and cream cheese. it all worked.

  my one note, and i might ruffle some feathers, i LOVED Zoe and Karla's performances, but I felt that Selena's was missing something. My hypothesis is also the writing of her character felt the least baked to me and it's not all on Selena. I wanted to know more about her backstory to fully understand her arc.

  MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF THE YEAR

  the whole film is a triumph - every scene lives in my brain. the joy and awe i felt when watching it was unmatched. big grand cinema with a forefront of gorgeous music & spectacle. I'm glad we waited 20 years for the right adaptation to come.
