truly fascinating to experience this film knowing david byrne was completely convinced it was going to be a huge hit, in fact he was SO obsessed with making this film that talking heads turned down the chance to play LIVE AID. also fun fact he tried to cast chris and tina from talking heads as a pimp and a prostiute which they did not take well. anyways david byrne is seemingly fascinated with normalcy on a level that only someone who’s got no stake in it whatsoever could be and i love him for that
