ppl are judging this film harshly bc it’s not parasite 2.0, which it isn’t—not that bjh failed to meet that, but that he wasn’t trying to. he made something completely different that was delightful and funny, but still emotional and somewhat thought-provoking in the way scifi is meant to be (and i think a lot of watchers of this are not scifi veterans, which adds to that disconnect).
