watching this reaffirmed luc besson as my least favourite major director.
combines all the worst aspects of american film (emotionally weightless characters, tacky writing) with all the worst aspects of european film (ponderous with little intellectual substance, pedophilia, listless boring plot), plus luc beson’s own unique incompetence (offensively intrusive scoring, too many cheesy ‘hell-yeah-brother’ moments).
baffling that this seems to be so well regarded
