Just finished this 10 minutes ago and rn I’m reeling it was so good. Gonna sleep on it and write something more.
It was so easy to believe the writing in this movie. I never felt like a characters emotions or actions were unjustified. It was heartbreaking and uplifting. Still a 5/5 for me.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
Imma be honest, after watching Spider-Man across the spider verse two nights ago, this was tough to watch.
Still beautifully animated, and most of the references to the games were really awesome, but obviously a plot for young kids. BUT that’s not an excuse. Plenty of animated children’s movies have actual emotional themes to connect to.
Maybe I’m just being annoying but I wish more of the movie was explained.
