  i knew a chinese movie about mother-daughter love was going to make me bawl (you know how it is) but i think i can only thank god for giving me an empty row on the plane the way i ugly cried for an entire hour. this is a movie made out of pure, earnest love from every direction. even at 23, my guilt as a daughter continues to ebb and flow on the shore of growing up. i promise there is not one thing on earth that even comes close in comparison to a mother-daughter relationship.
