godDAMN this movie is fucking good.
I watched this the day after watching 12 Angry Men for the first time which was very thought provoking. This feels like the flip side of the same coin, where the defendant is wrongfully convicted instead of having a juror 7 to fight for him.
There are so many moments in this that feel so human. The scene of the prisoners drinking beer on the roof. Andy standing in the rain. Red looking at the sky for the first time as a free man in decades. And the ending, my god.
I understand why people love this film
