I Saw the TV Glow 2024
Writing a review for this film again because for some reason I've been thinking about it way too much.
The psychological aspect of this film deeply impacted me. I understand how many people have interpreted it as a trans-awakening film but for someone like me who has always felt a little out of place and displaced in my surroundings this film covered aspects I thought I had buried somewhere far deep inside.

Waterworks everywhere guys...
I've heard people say they didn't feel any chemistry between Andrew and Florence and that it was just a sappy drama where everyone's crying but god.
This film didn't lack in chemistry, brilliant direction, beautiful cinematography or a moving soundtrack. I think from the second act onwards I was just teary eyed with a lump in my throat till the end.
Also, a birth scene has never made me cry this much.

I had to come back to this review because I've been thinking about Anora since I've watched it.
This is truly a beautiful beautiful film, it's so well paced, well edited and well written. I was convinced that nothing could top challengers in terms of the editing and color grade but Anora quickly came up to that level.

This film is like those classic noir films that makes you go like "bro cinema" even though it's just a series of exaggerated scores, lighting and really good looking hair.
While the ending was rushed I really liked the narrative shift from Walter to Keyes and loved their dynamic throughout. Keyes deductive skills while impressive also felt a little spoon fed and scripted but they were cool.
