Le Cercle Rouge 1970
This is a film that I actually have something to say about.
A very noticable thing about the direction of this film is that there is a lot of emphasis on action, long shots and silence. At some points I feel a little bit bored waiting for things to escalate, but most of the time I feel excited to see the tension ramping up. Even as a person living in 2024, I felt hooked.

The 39 Steps 1935
The plot and characters are too confusing. Why did Hanney just let a random woman in his house? A lot of other bizzare actions happening aswell, which help create a sort of 'awkward tension'.
However, I will say this, I was surprised by the sarcastic comedy. Especially the sarcasm that Hanney possessed, which is mostly found in modern-day written stories and movies and less found in the 1930's.
Overall, wasn't very impressed. I was skipping a lot through this movie.Translated from by
