  I can forgive the low budget and cheap look, I can forgive the cheesy performances, I can forgive the scientific inaccuracies. What I cannot forgive it's how poorly it handles subjects like rape and pregnancy, I feel like it has misogynistic undertones all over it.
  It is also pretty boring.
  What a shame, because it was an interesting concept.

  It was re-released in theaters and I just had to go see it.
  They added a mini-documentary at the end about the making of Coraline's puppet, which was interesting. I never realized her design was so asymmetrical (her knees are different height? I would have never guessed that!)

  I mean, yeah, it's pretty bad, though it was an interesting experience. After watching it, a cinephile friend and I agreed that for some reason it feels older than it actually is, but it's hard to pinpoint exactly to what time period it should belong lmao.
  The movie does have its moments of unintentional comedy, but if I'm being honest, I was bored most of the time.
