  I loved the vfx and cast, but the writing was lacking. Visually and conceptually there was so much potential for this world, so much so that I would be open to a sequel, but I was disappointed by the actual storytelling.

  I like coming back to this movie every few years. The pacing is good and the story is engaging throughout. My biggest complaint is that it feels like the movie ends too abruptly. Maybe it's that I expect a huge buildup, but Catch Me If You Can stays pretty consistent. IIRC in the book there's more close-calls in Frank and Hanratty's cat-and-mouse game, but overall, it follows the book decently well. I would have loved to have seen a second installment or a series so the story didn't have to end.

  I like the overall premise (despite not having read the books or watched the show which came later). My biggest complaint would be that the movie was just too fast/short to really build up a believable/logical world. That said, it’s also new for Clary so perhaps we as the viewer are sharing some of the uncertainty.
