what i loved about parasite's subtlety wasn't here, and that's ok!
it wasn't entirely my jam. i thought it was funny at points, and that the stakes were high enough to have me stressed on the end of my seat, but the masterful craft of parasite's restraint is left out in favour of in-your-face satire.
it's definitely my predisposition to dislike satire like this because it feels less like satire and more like im watching a supercut of the worst…

Finally got to watch this in IMAX and—to totally be a snob about it—not just any IMAX but the IMAX Nolan tests his films in.
It looked so incredible on the big screen and FELT so incredible. Hans Zimmer's score truly shines in a theatre like this and when the thrusters of the Endurance engaged, the seats shook.
