poor things for philosophy students

i tend to consider korean-language (bong 1) and english-language (bong 2) bongs as two distinct directors. multiples, if you will. although they have much in common, they tend to focus on different subjects and can differ drastically in style and atmosphere.
just like parasite was the product of bong 1's learnings, mickey 17 looks to be that movie for bong 2. it's bong 2 at his most fleshed-out, romantic and introspective.
there's much to be said about this movie and…
witty. riveting. moving to the core. celebration of life in its truest form. very human and surprisingly grounded. truly a feast for your eyes and soul with SO much heart put into it.
shout out to magical realism it gotta be one of my favourite genders
"i'm disappointed in you. very disappointed. you're still in love with the world"
despite the cold imagery and message of the movie, it still made me feel somewhat... hopeful? such a strange experience.
andrew scott's lovely smile was almost enough to make up for the emotional turmoil this movie has caused me
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
as a son of a cancer survivor, this movie hit extremely close to home. beautifully shot and directed - it perfectly portrays the complicated nature of mother-son relationships.
i knew martin was devil incarnate the moment i saw him eating spaghetti wearing a white shirt
If Robert Pattinson has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Robert Pattinson has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Robert Pattinson has only one fan then that is me. If Robert Pattinson has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Robert Pattinson, then I am against the world.
