Finally got around to watching this after Nosferatu has come out and continued Egger's period film mastery. The witch to me is a great representation of the witch hunts and the hysteria and paranoia of the time. I recently watched Horses' YouTube essay "Icelandic witchcraft" which is a great pre or post watch hand in hand with this film.
