    rewatching another one of the scariest films of my childhood for the first time in a long time was a riot.

    as always, the first thing that hit me was that it was obviously not _quite_ as scary as i remember it being. saying it feels dumb, i was like 12 when i saw the ring the first time, and i'm a Grown Ass Adult (tm) now. of course it isn't as scary!! but it's the thing that always sticks…
