Mean Girls 2024
This was fun, but I think it could have been a lot better. Rene Rapp played Regina really flat, in my opinion. A lot of the iconic jokes/lines just weren’t delivered great, which I acknowledge is a challenge but I’ve seen the stage show and they still very much worked. Auli’i and Jaquel were great, as was Avantika as Karen. It’s fun but probably won’t be rushing to rewatch.

Definitely going to be thinking about this for a bit. Excellent acting by every actor. Poignant story with a great premise and twist. Excellent score and cinematography.

Maestro 2023
Amazing performances all around. Very impressed by Bradkey Cooper’s conducting and overall depiction of the iconic Maestro Bernstein. Carey Mulligan is incredible. Loved the true depiction of his sexuality, which was often not discussed when people talked about him. The use of his music to score the film was an excellent choice and was done so well. The cinematography was beautiful. Really loved this film!
