The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024
Off the wall weird explosive and with super fluid animation. Squash and stretch is in full effect here and when you watch this movie you can’t help but recognize how much fun the people making it must have had. Its surprisingly heartfelt and even a little inspirational but downright stupid and hyperactive as it should be. Im stunned this movie was made but supremely happy that it was. There needs to be more.

Charming, aesthetically appealing, friendly, heartfelt, and a bit haunting. Wes Anderson’s latest has all the familiar trademarks in an alien caper that ironically illuminates more about the nature of humanity than beings from beyond. Great movie to kick-off the summer blockbuster season, funny too. If you already love Wes Anderson this one is going to be a comfort food film for you, if this is your first foray into the universe hopefully you enjoy the bizarre yet beautiful flavor of Asteroid City.

This movie promised a giant explosion and it delivered, yet it’s the chain events leading up to the drop, and the meticulous process of picking up the pieces in the aftermath that serve as the narrative focus of this film. Much like Shin Godzilla, Oppenheimer’s action is placed firmly in it’s dialogue, and while that may not seem appealing for a three hour sit-down, the movie doesn’t drag once, and moves from event to event at a classic Nolan break-neck pace.…
