  I rented this DVD because I felt that my disassociation with movies lately had been caused by generally uninteresting films. I also felt I should catch up on more Jim Jarmusch, who refuses to tell a straightforward narrative in the most engaging ways.

  I watched this movie because I heard it has a secret dedicated following. I wanted to follow this movie too I wanted to be a part of it. The movie begins with "students" in their mid-20's dancing their way back to high school, who I couldn't even differentiate from the teachers and they were singing about going back to school and I got up and said nope.

  Nope I'm not having any of this. Nope.

  Somewhere 20-30 years from now people who weren't even born before the 00's will look back on that decade with fascination as they try to study certain trends in cinema history, like the way we look back on the 70's and 80's and think we know all about blacksploitation, sharksploitation and post-apocalypse rock bands.   From the moment this film began I felt a combination of extreme vertigo and motion sickness. I think it was Sandra Bullock who said it was a little bit difficult holding down your lunch in "zero G". I knew what she meant all too well. I lasted about 25 minutes before I had to go take a piss.
