Rosemary's Baby 1968
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Jesus fookin’ Christ. Ari Aster deadset stole a whole plot poin heret. Far more terrifying than I imagined. Not a horror film in the typical sense but so psychologically confronting. I was expecting demons, and I instead received constant dread and torment. Villain was the gaslighting husband…go to hell you Satanic creep.

The Godfather 1972
Had seen it once before on my laptop in Year 10 and back then I think I just liked it cause it was hyped up.
After getting to see it on the big screen today I can well and truly say this is the best film ever - kept me on the edge of my seat, the music was beautiful, the cinematography was perfect, the script was tight and the dialogue was filled with one liner after one liner.

Babylon 2022
Epic, messy & beautiful - three words that seem hard to reconcile with one another but Chapelle seems to do it.
This will easily be the most divisive film of the year (and I don’t know if I’d recommend this to anyone). I loved it, and I think why is because of the fact that it is messy yet underneath behind all the debauchery and grime is a seemingly brilliantly structured and ambitious film that dabbles with bold themes and provides us with a highly tragic fable.
Play on Chapelle, play on.
