The buildup was better than the climax and the conclusion, but was still a very engaging and thought provoking film. It’s always fascinating and moving to see a film that is a both a work of art and political statement piece.

A Real Pain 2024
Kieran Culkin’s character was insufferable to me. I don’t think I felt for his character as much as the film wanted me to, unfortunately. I could barely watch he made me so uncomfortable. I found him more rude and annoying than vulnerable and tender, yet both sides definitely exist within him. I did like all the supporting characters and how they were written and featured in the film.
