watched this for the first itme with my partner just after watching donnie darko (my choice for the night), and i think in a strange way its kind of the perfect follow up. meanspirited, difficult to watch, and great to watch while high out of your mind. will have to return to it often.

rewatched with my partner who has never seen it, after having only ever watched it alone myself. it was a different experience but an even better one than previous watches. this movie is fantastical and ridiculous but manages to portray my own reality better than most movies that try and do the same or similar ever have.
