An emotionally torturing rip off of Life of Pi, Flow is not an enjoyable watch for me. Wins include nonverbal storytelling and the animators' dedication- but overall the story and 'flow' of Flow does not have the qualities of a profound animated experience. This is a movie for someone, I'm sure. But it does not hit as hard as others in the 'man vs nature' category and isn't as joyful and profound as other animated films. Stray (2022, BlueTwelve Studio) does more with less. In walking the line, Flow fails to make a lasting impression with me.
