  The screenplay ultimately lets Prometheus down- the introduction of too many unexplained mysteries, weird plot holes, and jumpy character progression distracts from a fascinating rebirth of the Alien universe laden (maybe even too much so?) with symbolism and mythological reference. A movie that is better served on rewatch, or after consulting an in-depth blog/forum review, this is still a fun ride with an excellent cast, great visuals, and the body horror we have come to love and expect from the franchise.
