Wall Street 1987
I think Stone could have taken a much stronger stance with the ending of this movie by not giving us the “happy” ending of Gekko going to jail. For all the heavy handed morality presented to us, it was a fantastical ending. Nonetheless, great acting by Douglas and brilliant construction of Gekko as a villain.

For the life of me I don’t know why they used such harsh white backlighting. It made the colors appear dimmer and grayed everything out. Honestly it looked like shit.
I thought the actual movie was fine. Arianna and Cynthia were amazing. But the entire thing felt like one fan service decision after another. Guess that isn’t necessarily a bad thing but didn’t make for a supremely interesting watch.
