This portrayal of the Phantom was interesting; such glaring red flags from manipulator to murderer, yet Christine’s eyes were rolling to the back of her head whenever they touched. Despite the sexiness of the movie and sad Phantom backstory, it’s hard for even the hopeless romantics to truly relate to Mr. 20,000 francs. Fun to discuss though, visually entertaining and catchy songs. And ladies kissing behind a folding fan!!

I watched a 30 minute aubrey plaza cut of this movie and it was wonderful

Not a good movie. Plot too big for their writing abilities. Newsflash: your surrealism won’t work if you can’t flesh out the storyline with meaty characters, motivations, situations, etc. Distinct ‘jokes’ and scenes, but no real synthesis. Intercharacter relationships? Vague and incredibly unoriginal. On top of that, these boys have no stage presence or charisma.
