The Great Dictator 1940
There are way too many brilliant critics using their lavish words who are giving this beautiful movie and performance it’s due credit so, I will just state this for my own peace of mind:
That all the magical genius in its playfully dark tone, displayed by Chaplin throughout the entire movie, comes to a mesmerizing and ironically not-so-silent finish where the climax of the movie is carried-out by a speech from Chaplin to the world. It’s easily one of the best moments in cinema to say the least.

The Foreigner 2017
Jackie Chan was bad ass in this movie. However, everyone else was kind of a drag. The movie was slow until the last 40 min. then it picked up. The cinematography was confusing and didn’t seem to always fit the story and there were too many shots that made me uneasy or didn’t make sense. Character development was weak. Meh.
