After Hours 1985
“After Hours” is a unhinged descent into urban alienation—darkly comic, surreal, and tinged with a creeping sense of paranoia. Scorsese turns the city into a nightmarish labyrinth where every encounter spirals further into absurdity, blurring the line between comedy and dread. Watching it at the Prince Charles Cinema in London was unforgettable; the perfectly timed laughter from the audience only deepened the film’s manic, off-kilter energy. A watch i cannot forget about anytime soon.

Léon: The Professional 1994
The oversexualisation of 12 year old Mathilda undermines the film's integrity and left a sour taste in my mouth - Despite the strong performances esp. from young Natalie Portman and the really impressive cinematic craft (the use of symbolism, also the genius utilisation of Venus as a boy) ,the portrayal of Mathilda’s sexuality detracts from its overall impact and raises disturbing questions about the film's moral compass - i really do appreciate the artistry tho
