Fourth of July 2022
This was a surprise. Initially hesitant to view, I was a little annoyed by some cinematography choices. But it was easily supplanted by a heartwarming, realist-ic, and pragmatic view of how it’s difficult to share emotional scars with family for all of us. The film matures and resolves with some stunning performances by the parent actors in particular. It’s raw, real and somewhat ephemerally all of us, and our family.
