  You can see Martin Scorsese loves cinema.
  Cinematography and acting were beautiful. Brutal story, much needed commentary.

  Though, the film didn't really touch me emotionally. Not a single tear from a serial film sobber. Perhaps it was too long, or I went in with a wrong mindset. Who knows?

  Oppenheimer as a character lacks depth, barely has any development. We don't see any difference between what he was in the beginning and what he has become. He could have been replaced with a robot (this is not to take away from Cilian Murphy's acting skills but rather writing). Aesthetic hallucinations of atomic bombing do not constitute a profound emotion. You don't sympathize with Oppenheimer's portrayal in the movie. What might be driving any ounce of sympathy is the known…
