  I had kinda higher expectations for this one, though I’m not entirely sure why. While it had its strengths and some enjoyable moments, overall, I found it to be just okay. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite leave the impact I was hoping for. 🌸🦍

  After watching all 7 of the previous ones (the original movies and Tim Burton's remake), this one seemed like a huge upgrade in story telling.

  In comparison to the previous parts in the franchise, this movie wins at character development, giving the characters more depth. Although some characters (like Malcolm) are still a little superficial, others (like Ellie and Dreyfus) have become more realistic and easier to sympathize with when their backstories were given.
