Dersu Uzala 1975
Visually stunning in every sense, shot on 70mm with colors and lighting that seem far ahead of their time. Also Kurosawa’s only non-Japanese movie apparently.
A wonderful story about two men from completely different backgrounds who become the best of friends through their shared experiences of exploring the Siberian wilderness. Can’t recommend enough, really scratches the itch for “putting on a big rucksack and hiking in the woods with a rifle and your friends”.
