Love Hugh grant, hate this movie.
I appreciate the ideas in this movie and how it challenges our concepts of faith, but I wish it was more interesting. And more realistic. SPOILER: Like how did one of the girls (who had been stabbed earlier in the movie) RESURRECT TO SAVE HER FRIEND. SHE HAD BEEN STABBED AND DEAD FOR LIKE AN HOUR BY THIS POINT. Anyway, another good idea that was weirdly executed.

The Substance 2024
The beginning had unlimited potential, but they unfortunately picked the worst ending possible. It was too much gore for me, I don’t mind it in movies that consistently show it throughout - but this felt like a way to just end the movie. Although the idea deserves justice, the directing was amazing, so was the acting.
