The first half of Nosferatu is grand in scale, and the result is a lot of interesting atmosphere and a plot that seems to get away from him at times. Once the action converges on the town of Wisburg in the second half, things improve dramatically. Suddenly, Eggers can focus on a single story, and the result is a tense march to the climax that never drags…
