  Nostalgia subverts your expectations because usually you think the dog's gonna die and the man will be sad about it, however in this film the man dies and it's the dog who's sad about it this time

  shocking movie. two and a half hours that felt like thirty minutes. the first twenty minutes are stunning, as were the final twenty minutes, as were every individual increment of twenty minutes in between those. strong recommend to all. five stars

  this is definitely an offensive movie for neurodivergent communities. a baffling training montage of a young ben affleck that spans Jakarta and the peripheries of Paris is the central draw. it has no politics and believes in nothing. i watched it over the course of 2 nights separated by at least three weeks but the plot is already so perplexing that it probably didn't matter. excited for the sequel. 2.5 stars.
