I am on here to revive my passion for film and to nurture that passion through inconsistent reviews.

My thought process throughout the movie:
Two words: The Heteros
Five words: They all needed a paycheck
Fifteen words: I find it laughable how often Matt Dillon plays the role of an apathetic human being.
Seen on March 24th

I’d give this a 3.75 because I agree— plot is a little all over the place but it has a lot of heart. The argument with the mom at the bus stop was vividly familiar, I nearly cried.
5 stars for the Bernie’s performance as the eldest daughter.
I giggled when Evelyn tackled Deborah because that’s the precise appropriate way to diffuse the neurotic bomb that is Deborah.
Paz Vega and Adam Sandler…perfect combination.

Clifton’s lines and actions were by far my favorite- both my favorite character and villain. Genuinely hoping for a sequel of some sort. The writing was humorous and carefully developed.
I haven’t belly laughed that hard in theaters in AGES. Can’t wait til this comes on streaming service- I might even consider purchasing the DVD. Kudos to this spectacular comedy horror ridden ride!
