Went in with the idea of a negative viewing experience but was pleasantly surprised. While not marvels best work I still found the movie to have great pacing and characters. Ross is done well, and isnt just smeared as “bad president guy” which I found quite nice. While red hulk wasnt the main big bad his time on screen was plenty enough to help create a climax. Overall a solid experience, dont understand all the immense hate

Ah yes, the classic “supercomputer goes rogue” story the cold war era loved. While Colossus may seem at first to be the same narrative as every other supercomputer sci-fi story, it finds many ways to make itself unique.

The characterization of colossus is done strikingly well, making it seem like a curious child at first, then giving it more and more adult sternness over time. It however keeps that childlike wonder, as shown later in the film.

    While I do…

What a terrible name for a sled

The American Film Institutes #1 movie of all time, Citizen Kane is one of the greatest movies I’ve watched this year. A beautiful moral telling of the importance of connection and love over superficial possessions, this movie had me in a hold the entire time

The imagery and Cinematography was astounding, the reuse of shots in different weather or settings, conveying a harrowing difference in the settings, the use of shadows and mirrors. Despite this movies age, it still is a timeless classic that continues to captivate audiences

This movie is a contender for one of my favorites of all time. Practically everything about this movie is perfect. The score, the cinematography, the voice acting, script, and the expansion and creation of personality  of characters from a simple children’s tale really makes this movie a joy to watch.

My personal favorite part about this movie is how well written and real the dialogue feels. The sewer scene is a prime example, with how raw and accurate it feels. The odd quips, good voice acting, and silent moments also really help this movie set exactly the mood it wants
