Definitely not what I was expecting. More a creepy dark comedy with body horror, than a horror movie about the possessed toy. Which I think is the best way you could go with a movie about a wind up monkey that kills people. Like, read that back, the very premise is silly lol.
The body horror is stellar in some places and pretty whatever in others, but it’s all in the service of having a good laugh whenever someone dies…
I didn’t expect a movie about finding love post divorce to be this endearing. It should be like teenage love, but without all the bullshit, except it isn’t. I guess divorce is like a puberty sequel or maybe that’s just how falling in love feels like.
And how is that fully grown, full bearded, bald, dad bod having man so fucking sweet? Give him back! 😭
Mr Cruise there's no need to put your life on the line but I absolutely love when you do.
Aside from some really cool shots and sequences and an outstanding sense of scale and realism the movie is fine.
It's got a pretty average human plot, nothing to go crazy for and Bryan Cranston could've carried the whole ass movie, but they just killed him. This movie needed way more Cranston and less Johnson and family, less military shit and more Serizawa and Graham.
