Watching this for the first time seriously, AND after watching wicked (2024)
I grew up thinking the theme was that "what makes you special is inside of you",
but NAHHHHH. even after the wizard getting exposed he was blowing smoke to everyone.

This is a name that doesn't ring bells. This could have been the movie that kickstarts black horror, but this directorial debut is also his only film and last acting credit.
It's odd to stumble on this film because despite aging with some wrinkles, it's still solid and is memorable enough to be included in Halloween marathons.
In looking up the history of this movie, the studio wished for this to be premiered during black History Month…
