I liked this film quite a bit. The tension and the story are great. Lupita Nyong'o was hauntingly perfect in her role(s).

The one thing that bugged is the HOW of it all. I fully understand the general metaphor and its socio-economical criticism but within that metaphor or symbolism the story feels … odd.

For me, the entire explanation in the end added more logical questions than answers. Did the Tethered live underground in all places of the world /…

    Super fun film.

Truly enjoyed it. It felt as if the story and its acts could have used a little more time, though. The overall piece felt a little rushed with too many pieces of criticism crammed into too little time. Maybe splitting it in two films or a limited mini series of four to six one hour episodes would do the story more justice.

    But still ... super fun.

Got the chance to watch it on the big screen at my favorite theatre and … this is what cinema is for. It’s utterly wonderful. The art and craft that went into this gorgeous film is marvelous. It’s emotional, funny, thoughtful, sad, desperate. It’s everything one could ask for. I loved every minute of it.

30 years after its original release, I was able to watch David Fincher’s SE7EN (1995) on the big screen again – in its new 4K restoration.

WHAT A BLOODY MASTERPIECE THIS FILM IS!

As meticulously crafted as the horrors it depicts. Every scene serves a purpose, every shot adds to the emotion of the whole. A magnificent achievement of cinema.
