I loved the music and Zegler was charming enough to help me forget the drama she was causing behind the scenes throughout production.
What I didn't like:
The CGI sucked
The sets look made-for-tv. I had to constantly remind myself this isnt just one of those performances at Disneyland itself.
Costume design was poor and everyone looked like they were LARPing.
Daniel Rindone said it best and I will paraphrase here:
The trailers led you to believe this would be an action epic documenting the unfolding of an American civil war. What you got was a poorly paced, plotless movie about self-centered and complacent journalists with a spattering of odd music choices which often ruined the mood of the scene.
1 Western Force star awarded. Alex Garland showing up to my screening was the only novelty.
