The Monkey 2025
The way the monkey smiles before banging his drum is how my 1 and a half year old son looks at me before throwing his throwing ketchup at the rug.
This movie is fun, but not much else. My favourite single image was Adam Scott in a pilot uniform scorching a toy monkey.

Jesse Plemons needs a horror franchise. That man is just scary. Everyone is great in this movie, especially liked Sammy, but Joel just gives me bad vibes.
I get proper nightcrawler vibes from the way it tackles the desensitization to the mad shit going on around them.
Also, this movie is funny. The scene with the snipers was just great. And the battle scenes are really well done (although soldiers giving THAT much of a fuck about journalists is not something I buy, but I'm not expert).
It's also a very pretty movie, but Alex Garlands lens bloom infatuation isn't for me.
